This stunning contemporary home completed by Nest Bespoke Homes in early 2017 is nestled in the quaint seaside streets of Manly, in Brisbane's south east.
The unique challenge this build offered was the incredibly narrow block of land coupled with the opportunity to take advantage of water views. Keeping this in mind, the finished result is a spacious two storey home, with a large deck running the expanse of the facade on the upper level to make full use of the oceanic vistas.
Stepping inside, it is hard to believe that the home is positioned on such a narrow block. The home features high ceilings throughout and large windows to allow natural light to flood the area, which gives the impression of a luxury of space.
This home is a juxtaposition of masculine form and materiality contrasted nicely against more feminine accents. Dark window and door frames, exposed metal beams and columns and clean, strong form are enhanced by the soft warm tones of the timber flooring and feature cladding, and organic feature lighting choices.
This contemporary home is located north of Brisbane in the picturesque Moreton Bay region.
This home is jam-packed with an array of mod-cons and touches of luxury. The large modern kitchen includes a walk-in butlers pantry, PITT cook-tops and a double ovens for the ultimate entertaining lifestyle.
The open plan living and dining space unfolds out to an alfresco via large corner stacker doors - bringing the outdoors in and creating a seamless entertaining space.
The alfresco area overlooks a plunge pool and backyard, and includes a BBQ nook with a gas feed, for ease of cooking.
The plunge pool is the center of focus for the master suite, which incorporates large wrap-around windows to showcase the feature. The attached en-suite features modern upgrades such as a double vanity and the large free-standing adds that touch of luxury.
All in all this home is the contemporary home lovers dream!
This brand new character home is nestled in the quaint suburb of Petrie Terrace just minutes away from Brisbane's CBD. The design of home is reminiscent of the terrace houses that line the streets of Melbourne Suburbia, however some of the features hint at a distinct traditional Queenslander throwback.
The home, whilst situated on a small inner city block packs a punch as it utilizes all the available space to it's advantage. Featuring the luxury of a two vehicle carport not often seen in this particular location, the home also features a large open plan kitchen and living space which opens out to an outdoor entertainment area and lap pool.
The upper level consists of a master suite, two additional bedrooms as well as another living space.
Whilst the exterior is beautifully traditional with a weatherboard finish and stylized balustrades, the interior is refreshingly modern. Polished concrete flooring throughout the lower floor as well as the use of glass and matte black accents helps this home to balance traditional and modern with ease.
This stunning renovation and extension project added a much needed face lift to the tired existing house, completed by Nest Bespoke Homes in 2016.
The scope of works included the demolition of the existing carport and veranda in order to rebuild a bigger carport and an extension to the front part of the home. The renovation also included a complete restructure and update to the Master Bedroom, Bedroom 2, the Main Bathroom and the Back Deck.
The renovation to this home has changed the look and feel dramatically. The exterior of the home now has a modern Hampton's aesthetic, which is very warm and inviting. The pale paint palette that is featured throughout the exterior and interior makes the home feel open and bright - a massive improvement on the original house.
This house by the Bayside provides a homely atmosphere through its tastefully stark contrasts of colours.
The one-level home includes a modern aesthetic interior with a wooden bordered exterior, assisting the modernised mood of the residence. The darker colours of the peripheral are cleverly juxtaposed with its beige colours and tiled interior, evoking both emotions of excitement and contentment.
The interior includes a spacious media and lounge room accompanied by a contemporary kitchen, four bedrooms and two bathrooms, including a master suite. With its windows that provide soft natural lighting, and its wooden and marble finishes, this house makes the perfect space for couples and families, creating an inviting and relaxing environment.
This home is a perfect example of where old meets new. The original house was stunning in its own right with weatherboard exterior, VJ board lining the interior walls and stained glass windows throughout . However the back of the house was in urgent need of an update and partial extension. Needing to retain the character at the front of the home due to council regulations, HBE Architects designed a modern upgrade to the back of the home.
This included a total renovation to the upstairs kitchen, dining and living spaces and an upper deck was also added. The lower part of the back of the house was also renovated with upgrades to the masterbedroom, ensuite and family room.
An outdoor entertainment area with an outdoor kitchen and a pool were then added to make the renovation complete. This was a collaborative effort between HBE Architects and Nest Bespoke Homes and the end result turned out to be the perfect juxtaposition of Queenslander finese and modern contemporary style.
This Hampton-style medical practice has its own transformational story, which is seen in its “Cinderella” inspired “before and after” photos.
Although the existing skeleton of the building has been maintained, the interior and exterior have been completely restored. This has been achieved with structural and design elements such as the use of dark timber floors inside the practice and with garden beds and stone-feature columns at the building’s entrance. The uplifting white colouring and boarding and subtle lighting give a modernised and homely feel to its exterior.
Additionally, the practice includes eight consulting rooms, one kitchen and three bathrooms, along with an urbanised reception area where patients can wait for their appointments in an amicable environment.
Unlike many medical practices, this one delivers a welcoming and contemporary twist on your average visit to see the doctors!
If you are looking for a home which maintains its original form and takes on a modern twist, this is the place!
This house has kept its original brick exterior and outside timber entertainment area, while the whole bottom interior of the home has been completely renovated. Its lined wooden ceilings, marble-colored tiles, Hamptons-like stairway, and feature walls add to the house’s luxurious appeal. As visitors enter the downstairs area through the wooden door entrance, they are welcomed with blue lighting to set the home's contemporary mood.
This house is full of great little surprises, and is perfect for all home buyers!
